From Burnout To Breakthrough Partner With UK SAYS NO MORE

According to the Mental Health Foundation, 1 in 6 of us experience a mental health issue in any week. In addition, virtually all of us will experience stress in one way or another throughout our lifetime. Stress can be caused by a large number of factors, and can impact every aspect of your day-to-day life.

We’re proud to partner with a number of mental health charities and organisations including YoungMinds and Mind in Kingston who work to promote good mental well-being and support those in need. Today, we’re thrilled to add From Burnout To Breakthrough to that list!

In their own words…

Is stress affecting your relationship?

75-90% of all doctor visits are due to stress related illnesses and the number of working days taken off due to stress in 2016 was 11.7 million which increased to 12.5 million in 2017. This was in the UK alone.

These phrases have sickened me, literally, and frankly I hear them all the time:

‘I’ve been working around the clock’

I’ve been working all the hours god sends’

‘I have been working my socks off and doing everything I can under the sun and still, nothing is working’

It’s a sad thing to see but a lot of people carry the stresses of their working careers into their home life where problems can arise.

The symptoms of stress fall into many different categories e.g. behavioural, physical, emotional and psychological etc. While you may realise you are stressed, others rarely notice there are problems until it starts affecting their behaviour. After all, you can’t see thoughts or emotions.

Like with most problems, the sooner you spot the negative impacts of stress the easier it is to manage. From Burnout To Breakthrough is joining the UKSAYNOMORE campaign to help spread the awareness of stress and the effects it can have on individuals.

My name is Jen Edwards-Robinson and my passion lays in helping people manage stress in a positive way.
