The Employer’s Response

Covid-19 is having a profound impact on people’s lives.  Some people may be forced to self-isolate or work from home with an abusive partner or family member.

Or they may not be getting out as much as they used to. They’re facing an increased risk of abuse and violence. More of their movement and communications may be monitored, making it harder for them to reach out and get the support they want or need. Ending domestic abuse is everyone’s business. Everyone can help – friends, family members, neighbours. And that includes us, as employers, managers and co-workers

This toolkit offers some simple ways that employers can work to support employees experiencing domestic abuse, particularly during this time.
