Introducing the UK’s Premier Legal Chatbot

The law is often difficult to understand. At LawBot we are committed to helping you understand and learn about legally complex problems quickly and accurately.

Currently, we cover 26 major criminal offences in English law. If you think you may have been the victim of a crime, simply talk to LawBot to learn more about the criminal law and how it applies to you.

Talking to our AIML-based chatbot, you will be able to understand the law and what it means for you. You can then decide which available legal actions you want to pursue with a qualified solicitor.

No one at LawBot is able to see what you say to LawBot. You can remain anonymous throughout the questionnaire.

Our Mission

LawBot was started in 2016 at the University of Cambridge with a simple goal in mind: to help regular people understand the difficult rules that shape and govern our everyday life.

The law is often complex and detailed – leading to frustration and uncertainty for those affected by it. Crimes and private law claims of public importance often never make it to the desk of a certified lawyer who can represent the interests of wronged parties because victims are often unaware of the legal options at their disposal.

LawBot aims to solve this problem by providing a free and simple way to learn about the law and what it means for you.

Currently, our chatbot covers the major criminal offences in England & Wales. We are continuously expanding the range of topics LawBot can comment on to provide our clients with an ever-growing pool of free legal knowledge.

“LawBot does not replace a lawyer – it helps you understand how the law applies to you and whether you should get professional advice.”

The topics we cover:
